There are some things you just know and trying to sell books inside on a beautiful early spring day in Alaska is just not a good use of your time and talent. Of course, I can't predict the weather 90 days ahead when I schedule these things so you pays yer money and takes yer chances.
But some people go into Barnes & Noble in Anchorage every day and so you just plain have to have some folks to pitch your novels to. I ended up selling 20, made some new friends, sold books to folks who had bought my previous books, and had a hot Mocha from the coffee shop at 1:30 pm, gratis from the good booksellers.
Here's the first buyer who wouldn't give me her name and email but consented to the photo.
