2014 Goals as New Year rolls around

Goals for 2014

Time to review my 2013 goals and see how I measured up in performance vs. hope. I annually set goals in five areas--those I deem the most important to living a good life. Here they are and how close I came to the target. My old partner, John Claus used to say, "We aim for the moon and hope we hit the top of the barn." My barn has a lot of holes in it.
PHYSICAL:   Didn't meet two out of the three goals. Got the third one nailed.
MENTAL:   Had four goals here and while I made progress on all of them, didn't get 100% on any of them. Damn.
SPIRITUAL:   Got one; half way through the second and haven't started on the third.
FINANCIAL:  Had four goals here; missed on two and hit on two. The two I missed are still in the mix for 2014. Never say die.
SOCIAL:   Three goals this year. Hit most of two and half of one, so not dead yet.

Maybe I'll stand on top of the barn this New Years eve and shoot again for that elusive moon.
Are you making goals, planning ahead, shooting for something that shows you are still fogging a mirror and making tracks in the snow? Let me hear about it.

Happy New Year.  Alaska Jim in the desert
